Essentials Hoodie & Sweater size chart

Essentials runs oversized. This is intentional – drop shoulders, roomy body.

  • Your usual size = the oversized look from the lookbook.
  • One size down = a regular fit like other brands.
  • Two sizes down = a close-fitting cut.
  • Women: the line is unisex – go 1–2 sizes down from your women's size.
  • Broad shoulders / athletic build: stay with your usual size – going smaller pulls at the shoulders and shortens the sleeves.

Which size for which height?

Height Regular fit Oversized look

171–176 cm M L
177–182 cm M / L XL
183–188 cm L XL / XXL
189 cm and up XL XXL

Guideline values for an average build. If you have a stocky build or broad shoulders, go with the oversized column. For comparison: at 1.82 m and 70 kg, M fits for the oversized look and S for the regular fit.

Garment measurements taken flat, chest = 2 × width under the armpit, length from shoulder height at the collar. Deviations of ±2 cm depending on the season are normal.

The hoodie is wide, not long: it ends at the hip, and the shoulder seam sits on the upper arm. The nylon fleece hoodie and the "Cropped" models run shorter – for those, go with your usual size.

This is how Fear of God assigns sizes to the body – the oversized fit then results from that.
